So to make me feel a little more chipper, I am going to let you all play a game. It's called, "Guess the Referral Date!" Yes, I want you all to make some excellent guesses on when we get our referral. I know that at least 40 or 50 of you drop by each day, so seriously, leave a comment, because I need the encouragement of knowing people are reading this blog. AND, if you guess right, I might just send you a little surprise in the mail after it happens! And don't worry, I won't punch you if you guess way far out (but I may choose not to believe it! lol).
I will give you a little help. I kind of got the feeling that our referral could come any day now. Having said that, you never know. It could be another month or so. But the feeling I got from our agency was that it was going to be sooner than later. We'll see.
So please, brighten my day and leave a guess below. I'll start. My guess is for September 1st. Happy Guessing!
*And to make things a little more interesting and fun, feel free to guess the gender and age. Your clues are: We are open to either gender, 0-18 months old, or twins. It is VERY unlikely that we will get a girl, since boys are much more prevalent. But you never know. :)
**Oh, and if some of you guess the same day, I will just pick your names out of a hat for the prize!
Well, being the one with the half full cup.... I choose August 27th!!! So, being the winner and eternal optimist that I am (and a grandfather of the coming child) I don't want to wait any longer than tomorrow! There you have it... in print... Congratulations Nina and Wes!

ReplyDeleteOkay so my guess is that on Thursday, September 9th you get The Call for your 7-9 month old baby boy! :-)
With that guess, you will have a call before us! I'm so excited to celebrate with both of you!!
I will take a guess at this, I am going to say September 21st. No one's birthday, just an honest to goodness guess. Cheer up you two, because God Himself has it all in His hands and His timing is perfect!!!!

I was going to guess September 6 (you know, LABOR day and all), but since I'm guessing your agency will be closed on a holiday, I'm going to say September 7.

September 2 would be my guess because if you talked to Brett a week ago and she gave you a feeling it would be sooner than she knows something...she did me the same way. =) remember it take 2 to 3 weeks for them to do medicals and get all paperwork together. so yea september 2 seems right. Let's hope I'm right.

ReplyDeleteEveryone's picked my day already but I vote for the Monday after Labor Day, Sept. 7th. (Or the Friday before.) Always want to get those referrals handed out around the holidays! We got our referral for Nat the day I got back to work after the Christmas holiday. :)

Okay, I will take a stab at this. I have two guesses, one is Sept. 10th and on is October 11th. These days are special to me, but I will wait to tell you why. I think you will get a referral for a boy that is just about a year old. I will chime back in after I have prayed about this also, so I claim a chance to change my dates if I hear divine words! Just remember, no matter what, your child is coming.

ReplyDeleteHi there, I am just here looking at your amazing photographs of Josh and Daniel's Wedding. Anyway, I have 3 children that will hopefully be adopted in December. They are from Houston, and we have had two of them for 15 months. I know the emotional roller coaster you must be on, and my heart aches for you, and is filled with JOY for you!! It is an amazing ride! You and your child/children will be in my prayers.
